Refund Policy

1. What this policy covers

This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions to tidee, sold through Paddle.com acting as our merchant of record. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Paddle’s own terms.

The free plan has nothing to refund. This page applies only if you’ve purchased a paid plan.

2. 14-day satisfaction guarantee

If you’re not happy with a paid plan, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment — no questions asked. This covers the first monthly payment after you upgrade from Free to Standard.

The 14 days run from the date of the charge.

3. Subsequent renewals

After the initial 14 days, we don’t refund the current month, but you can cancel anytime to stop the next charge. The current period stays active until it ends.

We’ll still review a refund outside that window on a case-by-case basis where something went wrong on our side — for example, a prolonged service outage or an accidental double payment. Contact us within 30 days of the issue.

4. How to request a refund

Reach us through our contact form with:

  • the email address on your tidee account,
  • the Paddle order ID (in your purchase confirmation email), and
  • a brief reason (helps us improve — not required).

We aim to respond within 2 working days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle back to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 working days depending on your bank.

5. When a refund may be refused

We may decline a refund request if:

  • the 14-day window has passed and the refund doesn’t relate to a service issue;
  • there’s evidence of fraud, chargeback abuse, or breach of our Terms of Service;
  • the request is for a different product not sold by us.

If declined, we’ll explain why. You can appeal by replying to the same email thread.

6. Statutory consumer rights

Nothing in this policy removes or limits any statutory right you have as a consumer under applicable law — for example, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the UK 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or the equivalent EU rules. Where statutory rights are more generous than this policy, the statutory rights apply.

7. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings or by replying to your Paddle order confirmation. Cancelling stops future renewals — it doesn’t automatically trigger a refund of the current period (see section 3).

8. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle will retry it for a few days. If the retry fails, your account will downgrade to the Free plan. Your content stays intact — you can upgrade again whenever you want.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is material, we’ll let you know in the app, by email, or on this page in advance. Continuing to use a paid plan after the change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.

10. Contact

For refund questions, use our contact form.

For billing problems Paddle handles directly (declined cards, tax invoices, currency questions), Paddle’s support is reachable from the link in your Paddle purchase email.
